Is the visit child-friendly

Children typically enjoy the Apostles procession (60 seconds, outside on the hour), the tower lift, and the panoramic gallery. The medieval state rooms appeal more to older children and teenagers; the underground vaults can be cool and dimly lit. Strollers are not permitted in the medieval halls or the vaults — a baby carrier works better. Lift access reaches the gallery but not the medieval halls.
